Wireless Network Engineer I

Responsibilities:
– Support R&D in new product outdoor performance test & evaluation, etc.;
– Develop procedures and techniques for wireless product network performance testing;
– Devise strategies for equipment load and interference stress test evaluation;
– Capture and analyze network traffic flows in multiple scenarios (single client, multi-client, hidden node, clean / noisy environments)
– Devise and develop algorithms and techniques to improve network performance in areas such as Auto channel selection, Mesh, TDMA, band steering, handoffs, latency etc.

Requirements:
– Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related field of studies;
– Strong RF network planning/troubleshooting skills;
– Solid experience in Wi-Fi physical layer protocols and/or 3G/4G/LTE;
– Hands-on experience in network topologies and routing design with switches, routers, and bridges;
– Strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills;
– Self-motivated and work independently on a broad range of tasks;
– Ability and eagerness to learn new concepts and technologies;
– Occasional travel required;
– Outdoor work required, with the ability to transport and setup network equipment; and
– Fresh / recent graduates will be considered for entry level positions.
