Raymond Leung

Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Raymond Leung is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Altai Technologies Limited.

Dr. Leung was the Chairman of TDK China and SAE Magnetics. He also served as the Executive Vice President of TDK Corporation, Japan, the first non-Japanese officer appointed for the post since its establishment in 1935. With his foresight and innovative thinking, Dr. Leung guided SAE to become the world’s largest independent supplier of magnetic recording heads for HDD industry. Meanwhile, he was appointed as the board of director of Imation Corporation, a US based company focusing on digital storage technology.

Raymond is well regarded in the technology community as a high-tech entrepreneur with a mission of nurturing and growing high-tech industry. Dr. Leung has extensive experience driving new technology from vision to reality. Over the years, he built a number of successful startups in Greater China, such as Amperex Technology Limited (later known as ATL). The company grows to become the leading lithium ion/polymer battery solution provider in the world and became a member of TDK Group in 2005. Being the leader in the industry, its products have been used by Fortune 100 companies in mobile devices and electrical vehicles.

Dr. Leung has been very active in community services. He serves as the court and council member of numerous universities; a member of advisory committees at Hong Kong government agencies, Hong Kong Consumer Council and The Better Hong Kong Foundation. He was also the economic advisor of a number of cities in China and North Dakota of the US, and Dongguan Municipal CPPCC. In charitable arena, Raymond is the co-founder and Chairman of the charitable OLPC APAC, and a member of Give2Asia to provide a wider platform for improving the quality of life to the children in deprived areas in Asia.

Raymond is conferred Honorary Fellow of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and City University of Hong Kong, and received an Outstanding Alumni Award from each of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong. Currently, Dr. Leung is an Adjunct Professor in Electronic Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In recognition to his contribution to city’s economic growth and development, he was bestowed an Honorary Citizen of Dongguan City.
Raymond graduated with an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) degree from the City University of Hong Kong.

Ken Leung

President

Ken Leung is the President of Altai Technologies Limited, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s overall operation and development.  With his leadership and expertise, Ken has played a crucial role in driving Altai’s success and growth.

Ken has 13 years of commercial, industrial and leadership experience through roles with various multinationals.  Before joining Altai, Ken spent 5 years in the investment banking industry, specializing on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), equity and debt financing.

Ken holds a master’s degree in finance from NYU Stern, School of Business to further enhancing his understanding of finance and business management.

Ken’s dedication and exceptional performance in his career have been recognized through various accolades. In particular, he was awarded the prestigious Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Award in 2023, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area).

Danny Ng

Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing (EMEA, CIS, India & Americas)

Danny is the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, responsible for Altai’s marketing strategy and sales management for EMEA, CIS, India & Americas regions.

Danny has been dedicating his career in telecommunications field with over 25 years’ experience. Prior to joining Altai, he has been working in various NASDAQ listed hi-tech companies including ECI Telecom, Alvarion, Veraz Networks, Sonus Networks and Airspan Networks. He also worked for Hongkong Telecom International (now known as PCCW Global) and obtained invaluable operator experience.

Danny holds Bachelor of Electronic Engineering from the University of York (UK) and Postgraduate Diploma from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (UK).

Jerry He

Vice President, Sales & Marketing (Mainland China)

Jerry is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, responsible for the Mainland China business.

Jerry has been a core member of Altai since its pre-spinoff stage. He has extensive hands-on experience and deep understanding in all Altai products. He has been in charge of Altai’s Professional Services team for many years to provide technical support to various customers, collaborate with different system integrators/solution partners, and has direct exposure to the market needs and requirements.

Jerry got his Ph.D degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
